Compact Unit 6 – an easy-to-use monitoring system
The Compact Unit 6 is an embedded PC that is particularly suitable for use in areas of industrial production. The PC has one PCI slot available for card-based ARTIS tool-monitoring systems.

Equipped with the CTM card, the Compact Unit 6 is an easy-to-use tool-monitoring system with up to 4 monitoring channels. Each channel monitors a metal-cutting unit (spindle or feed axis) or, if the channel is used for monitoring the machine status, a spindle bearing, for example. The Compact Unit 6 is used with touch mode on the screen.

The CompactFlash disc with 2 GB of memory adds to the storage capacity of the monitoring cards used (CTM statistics). It is a platform for Windows applications (teleservice, VPN, etc.).

Areas of application of Compact Unit 6
Equipped with a TFT colour screen, the Compact Unit 6 can be used to display monitoring results and to enter monitoring parameters.

The colour display of the readings makes it easier to interpret the monitoring results.

The Compact Unit 6 with control panel is used particularly in production plant where the tool-monitoring system either cannot or is not required to be integrated in the control panel of the NC control system.
