OCON
The software-integrated solution purely for checking tool presence especially for rotary shank tools in simple production processes. OCON is particularly suitable for mass production and as replacement for mechanical or optical scanning post-process monitoring systems.

Optical and mechanical systems for checking tool presence frequently cause problems precisely in machining centres as a result of the concomitant extension of cycle times.

The OCON tool monitoring system from ARTIS works in-process so that this problem does not occur.
Furthermore, OCON does not require any hardware components to be installed in the machine. OCON is a pure software solution that is integrated in the machine control system.

Maintenance due to soiling or wearing parts is thus not required.

Installation and commissioning is easy. Little time is required for the operator to learn and optimise the system. Operation is effected intuitively directly on the visualisation display with additional assistance pictures for each parameter.

The monitoring covers the presence of rotary shank tools.

OCON is available for SIEMENS control systems and FANUC control systems.
